Butter boxes that look elegant on the table.

OJI Masanori designed these butter boxes to fit the various sizes of butter available in markets outside of Japan.

The wood is cherry, harvested in Japan, and stained a reddish tone with a soft touch.

Its motif is inspired by the KOGOH (a traditional incense container). These butter boxes were created by AIZAWA Wood Works, a company that combines the essence of OJI Masanori's design with the shape of traditional wooden utensils, which have long been produced for the URUSHI lacquer industry in Wajima City.

The four edges and the top of the lid are slightly curved outward, a finish that can only be achieved thanks to the mastery of the brushing work of AIZAWA Wood Works artisans.

Careful

The raw materials used for AIZAWA (KITO) products are thoroughly dried before manufacturing. They should not warp or crack during regular use unless abruptly exposed to extreme temperature or humidity differences.

They are coated with liquid glass, making them also suitable for serving food. Dish soap and a sponge can be used to wash the produce. A damp cloth can also be used to clean minor stains.

Do not use dishwasher.
